What is safflowder?
Safflower yellow pigment is a natural yellow pigment extracted from the petals of safflower, which is a chalcone compound. Safflower yellow pigment is an edible natural pigment approved for use in China and has been included in GB2760-1996, which is a new national drug. It is found that safflower yellow pigment is not only a valuable natural food pigment with the advantages of brilliant color, high temperature resistance, high pressure resistance, low temperature resistance, light resistance, acid resistance, reduction resistance and anti-microbial resistance, but also has a variety of pharmacological functions such as coronary artery dilation, antioxidant, cardiac muscle protection, blood pressure reduction, immunosuppression and brain protection.
